Coordinate Interleaved Faster-Than-Nyquist Signaling

Faster-than-Nyquist (FTN) signaling is an attractive transmission technique which accelerates data symbols beyond the Nyquist rate to improve spectral efficiency; however, at expense of higher computational complexity remove introduced intersymbol interference (ISI). In this work, we introduce a novel FTN technique, named coordinate interleaved (CI-FTN) that exploits ISI transmitter generate constructive for every pair counter-clockwise rotated binary phase shift keying (BPSK) symbols. particular, proposed CI-FTN interleaves in-phase (I) and quadrature (Q) components BPSK guarantee consecutive has same sign, hence, ISI. At receiver, propose low-complexity detector makes use transmitter. Simulation results show merits compared conventional signaling.
